Heather Staples has served as consultant for the New Hampshire Institute for Health Policy and Practice and NH Citizens Health Initiative since May of 2007. She currently provides staffing for the Healthy UNH project, NH Multi-Stakeholder Medical Home Pilot, Payment Reform Pillar and NH Purchasers Group on Health.
Heather has more than twenty years experience in healthcare, spanning independent physician practices, health insurance companies and software development firms. More recently, Heather served as Vice President of Product Development, Delivery and Engineering for a health care start-up, Choicelinx Corporation, through its acquisition by CIGNA Health Care. During her tenure at Choicelinx, Heather was responsible for driving product and technology strategy, and spearheading the development of employee benefit and wellness designs and supportive actuarial models.
Previous to her work with Choicelinx, Heather served as a Project Director at Healthsource NH and CIGNA Health Care, leading projects on product delivery, health cost escalation, operations consolidation, data warehousing, data analytics and financial reporting. She additionally managed Healthsource’s physician practices asset and led a physician board responsible for reimbursement and operational oversight.
Heather holds a Masters in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
