Laura Davie is a Research Associate at the New Hampshire Institute for Health Policy and Practice. Since joining the Institute in June of 2005, Laura has worked with the Empowering Communities project. She coordinates the evaluation of the training program and manages the research/development of criteria to review community generated data sources and reports for the Health Data Inventory website (www.nhhealthdata.org). Laura also provides research support for the Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Policy group of the Citizen’s Health Initiative; current research for the group addresses the question “What Makes NH Healthy?” Laura also provides support for health data-related projects for the Department of Health and Human Services. Laura completed her bachelors in science from the University of New Hampshire in Health Management and Policy in 2005. Prior to returning to school, she practiced as a physical therapy assistant in a variety of health care settings for 17 years.
